Description
The Almacita Tupungato Brut NV is a highly-regarded, value-oriented sparkling wine from Argentina, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes and known for its bright fruit notes and subtle bready complexity. The wine is made by Alma 4, a quartet of winemakers (Agustín Lopez, Mauricio Castro, Marcela Manini, and Sebastian Zuccardi) who met in school and have been producing sparkling wines in the Uco Valley since 1998. The grapes are sourced from high-altitude vineyards (around 4000 feet) in the Tupungato appellation within the Uco Valley of Mendoza, Argentina. It is produced using the Charmat method (secondary fermentation in stainless steel tanks), followed by six months on the lees for added complexity.
