Domaine Vernay ‘Les Terrasses de l’Empire’ Condrieu is a 100% Viognier white wine, certified organic, and is known for its aromas of white peach, apricot and flowers, its elegant balance and mineral finish. It comes from 35-year old vines grown on granite slopes and is aged in oak barrels. The estate is certified organic and the grapes are harvested by hand. The wine is fermented on its fine lees and aged for 10 months in truncated oak barrels and oak barrels. It is recommended to serve it chilled (10-12°C) and it pairs well with seafood (such as grilled lobster or pan-fried scallops), poultry in a creamy sauce, fresh sushi, or creamy goat cheese. The color is pale yellow with green highlights with a nose that is intensely fruity, with aromas of white peach, apricot and almond, underscored by subtle floral notes. The palate is elegant, harmonious, with the freshness and roundness typical of Viognier. It is recommended to drink it within 6 to 8 years, as it can be aged to develop more complexity.
